Community Christmas Tree Lighting Canceled
Peru Town Supervisor Brandy McDonald notified the Peru Gazette that the town will not hold a Christmas tree lighting ceremony this year. The town’s high COVID-19 rate is the reason. Town employees will simply throw the switch sometime tomorrow.

Tree Lighting on December 10th at 7 p.m.
Peru’s Christmas Tree Lighting at the Little Ausable River Park Gazebo has been rescheduled from Friday, December 3rd to Friday, December 10th at 7 p.m. The change was necessary given the number of town employees who tested COVID positive. Hopefully, everyone will be healthy and back in action on December 10th.
