Progress Continues on Jarvis Rd. Bridge
Concrete was poured at the Jarvis Rd. bridge last Wednesday. A 14-day curing process is underway. The ground is being prepared for asphalt approaches to the bridge. Railings also have to be installed. The bridge will hopefully be completed by September 15th.

Bridge Construction Progressing
Jarvis Road Bridge at about noon today. Bridge decking is being installed. Concrete should be poured on August 16th; it cures for 14 days. Depending on the weather, the bridge should be complete by September 15th.

Portion of Mannix Rd. to be Closed Wednesday
The Peru Highway Department will be closing Mannix Road again Wednesday from Old Town Road to Calkins Road for a cross culvert. No through traffic will be closed from 6:30 am til 4 pm

Portion of Mannix Rd. Closed Tuesday, Not Monday as Originally Planned
The Mannix Road will be closed from Rounds Drive to Old Town Road on Monday, Tuesday, August 1st from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The town will be replacing a culvert in that area. There will be no through traffic, including emergency vehicles, during that time.

Bridge Progress Continues
Jarvis Road Bridge’s prestressed concrete beams are being installed today. The four 70 ft. beams each weigh 74,000 pounds. The cement encloses several steel rods. Thanks to the Peru Gazette reader who let us know about the presence of the huge crane.
