Telegraph Road closed just south of the Sullivan Rd. intersection

Supervisor Brandy McDonald said the road was to be closed at 2:30 p.m. until urther notice.  Highway Superintendent Mike Farrell will be closing the section of Telegraph Road indefinitely at 2:30 pm. between house # 403 and 382.    Any questions can be directed to him at 518-369-4845.   See the previous Peru Gazette story for more details

Update – Telegraph Rd. will be closed at 2:30 p.m., April 26, 2024.

The closure is about one-quarter mile south of the Sullivan Rd. intersection. December 5 target date for reopening Carpenter’s Flat Bridge

Peru, November 14, 2023 – Route 9 Carpenter’s Flat Bridge construction is moving toward completion. Luck Bros. Project Manager Walter Tupper said December 5 is the target reopening date. Luck Bro. raised the bridge 3.5 feet and rebuilt the existing pedestals. It’s currently at road level but supported by temporary supports.

Burnt Hill Road paving schedueld for Wednesday

The Town of Peru Highway Department will be paving Burnt Hill Road from Norrisville Road  to town line, on Wednesday, July 12th from 6:30 am til 2 pm.  Local traffic, school buses & emergency vehicles will be able to access the road.
